Transport job sheets turn a reviewed route plan into driver-facing PDFs. They can include route order, fixed departures, timings, the assigned driver, stop details, stop contacts, access notes, loading notes, attached quote PDFs, imported Current RMS PDFs, the dispatch contact, and your transport job sheet branding.
Before export
- The plan should have routes.
- Stops, settings, and vehicle assignments should be current.
- Manual route changes should be saved or undone.
- Warnings should be understood and accepted by the dispatcher.
- Any fixed departure warnings should be accepted as part of the dispatch decision.
- The dispatch contact should show the person drivers should call if something needs escalating. You can choose a saved Transport Contact or enter one-off details.
- Assigned route drivers should be checked before export so the job sheet matches the route handoff.
- Attached quote PDFs and imported Current RMS PDFs should be clean and ready; pending, failed, infected, or missing PDFs cannot be appended to the export.
- Transport settings such as logo and footer should be checked if they matter for the PDF.
Dispatch contact
The dispatch contact printed on job sheets is the dispatcher or nominated production contact for the runs, not the driver's own details. Choose a saved Transport Contact where possible so the same dispatch details also feed driver portals and calendar entries. If SmartGig does not have a phone number, the Export tab prompts the user to add one or explicitly continue without a phone number for that plan.
Export job sheets
Open the route plan
Go to Transport > Route plans and select the plan.
Open Export
Use the Export tab.
Check contacts and PDFs
Confirm the dispatch contact, assigned drivers and stop contacts, then make sure attached quote PDFs or imported Current RMS PDFs have finished scanning.
Generate job sheets
SmartGig prepares the PDF export and appends the included route PDFs after the job-sheet pages.
Download when ready
Ready exports appear on the plan, dashboard, and Document Centre where available.
Export after route review, not before. Job sheets should match the route you actually intend to dispatch.
