The Current RMS integration helps organisations that already plan jobs in Current RMS bring relevant work into Transport Manager. SmartGig reads opportunities and creates or updates transport stops. It does not edit the Current RMS jobs.
If Current RMS has PDF attachments or prepared opportunity documents, SmartGig can show them during import. They are not selected automatically. Choose one or many PDFs, and SmartGig copies them onto the matching transport run after the stop is placed on a route.
What imports well
- Jobs with clear dates, addresses, postcodes, references, and useful delivery or collection notes.
- Jobs that map cleanly to drops, collections, or route-plan stops.
- Jobs with PDF attachments or prepared documents that drivers need for the relevant drop, collection, or route stop.
- Jobs where the transport team still wants to review timing, weight, vehicle fit, and access after import.
Connect Current RMS
Open Transport integrations
Use the integration menu from route plans or transport settings where available.
Configure Current RMS
Enter the Current RMS subdomain and API key.
Test the connection
SmartGig checks whether it can read opportunity records.
Save the connection
The integration status changes when connection details are usable.
Import jobs
Choose Import jobs
Open the import modal.
Select date range and filters
Preview opportunities that match the range.
Review blocked rows
Rows missing a postcode or required mapping need fixing before import.
Review import destination/s to job
Import into an existing plan or create a new plan, then confirm the destination records you want to pull into the job.
Choose Current RMS PDFs
When PDFs are available, review the total count, expand the selected destinations, and tick only the attachments or prepared documents you want to copy.
Import selected stops
Repeat imports update matching imported rows rather than blindly duplicating them.
Current RMS PDFs stay linked to the Current record they came from. After optimisation, selected PDFs are attached to the run containing that drop or collection, not to unrelated runs.
Imported stops still need normal route review. Check weights, times, notes, access, vehicle constraints, and selected PDFs before optimisation.
