White Label lets eligible accounts use customer domains for public portals and notification email. It is useful when applicants, participants, performers, or ticket buyers should see your event brand rather than a generic SmartGig URL or sender.
What can be configured
- Portal domain: a subdomain such as portal.example.com for application and participant portal links.
- Email sending domain: an authenticated sending domain and from address for outbound notification email.
- DNS records: CNAME, TXT, or other validation records shown by SmartGig for your domain provider.
- Domain checks: a check that confirms whether required DNS records have been found and providers are validating or active.
Set up domains
Open Settings > White Label
You need manage settings access and the White Label feature.
Add the portal subdomain
Create the DNS record shown by SmartGig, then save the domain.
Add the email domain
Enter the sending domain, from address, from name, and reply-to address.
Create the DNS records
Add all records shown on the page at your DNS provider.
Run Check DNS
SmartGig checks whether the records are visible and whether provider status is ready.
Common DNS issues
- DNS changes can take time to appear.
- The record name may need to be entered without the root domain depending on your DNS provider.
- A typo in one TXT or CNAME record can block validation.
- Provider credentials must be configured for the SmartGig installation before domains can be provisioned.
Set White Label up before sharing public links widely. Changing public domains after applicants have links can create avoidable support work.
