The published viewer is for staff who need the current official plan on site without opening the full builder. It reads the published snapshot only, so draft edits are not shown until the plan is reviewed and published again.
Open the viewer
Open the event
Go to the event and open the Site Plan tab.
Choose Published viewer
Use Published viewer for the mobile-friendly read-only plan, or Builder when you need to edit the layout.
Check the revision
Review the published revision and published time at the top of the page. If a newer draft exists, the viewer warns that the official snapshot is behind the working plan.
What staff can search
- Placed participants, including pitch reference, assigned zone, size, power point, arrival gate, setup window, access notes, and contact point where those fields were published.
- Published infrastructure such as gates, queues, scanners, stages, medical points, water, waste, power, vehicle routes, emergency access, fire safety, clearways, and general operational markers.
- Published zones from the official snapshot.
Offline cache
- When a published plan is available, the viewer saves the current published revision on that device.
- The cache panel shows whether a copy is saved, which published revision it contains, and when it was saved.
- If the live viewer cannot load a published payload and the device has a saved copy, staff can open the cached copy for reference.
- Use Refresh cache after republishing so the device copy matches the latest official snapshot.
Report a map issue
Choose Report issue
Use the report action on the map, then tap the exact point that needs planner review.
Or report an indexed item
Use Report beside a participant, infrastructure item, or zone when the issue belongs to a specific published object.
Add the detail
Choose the category and severity, add a short title, include notes, and attach up to 3 photos when the planner needs visual context.
Send to planner
SmartGig stores the issue against the official published revision. The live layout is not changed by the report.
Request a move
Find the published object
Use the index to find the participant or infrastructure item that needs moving.
Choose Move
The viewer arms a move request for that object without unlocking the live plan.
Tap the requested location
Tap the map where the item should be reviewed for placement.
Send the request
SmartGig stores the current location, requested location, object context, and published revision as a planner review item.
What it does not do
- It does not edit the live plan.
- It does not show unpublished draft changes.
- It does not make a cached copy authoritative if the event team has since republished the plan.
- It does not replace the builder, exports, or Document Centre handover packs when a formal file is needed.
If a site team spots a needed move, update and republish through the builder so the official viewer, participant portal, exports, and module handovers stay aligned.
