SmartGig uses email verification to protect access and make sure important messages are sent to an address you control. Verification is especially important for owners, admins, and anyone approving payments, documents, or account settings.
How to verify
Check your inbox
Look for the SmartGig verification email at the address used during sign-up or invitation acceptance.
Open the verification link
Select the link in the email. It confirms the address against your SmartGig login.
Return to SmartGig
After verification, continue from the dashboard or the page you were trying to open.
If the email is missing
- Check junk, spam, promotions, or quarantine folders first.
- Confirm the email address is typed correctly in Account settings.
- Use the resend option on the verification screen.
- If your organisation filters email heavily, ask your IT contact to allow SmartGig messages from the sending domain used by your account.
Why verification matters
- Password resets and invitation emails need to reach an inbox you control.
- Owners and admins may receive security, billing, or account-access messages that should not go to an old address.
- Operational notices are easier to trust when team members have verified personal logins rather than shared inbox access.
If you change email address
- Open Account settings and update the email address.
- Save the change.
- Verify the new address when SmartGig sends the new verification email.
